SCOUT Royal Hakvoort - 2019

A fully custom Dutch-built explorer yacht, designed and engineered for genuine global cruising. Built for experienced owners, SCOUT combines serious expedition capability with the volume, comfort and privacy required for extended periods on board.

Her Ice Class 1D steel hull, 1,416 GT volume and 11.6m beam provide a substantial platform for long-range cruising. Twin Caterpillar 3512C engines deliver a 12.5-knot cruising speed, 15.2-knot maximum speed and 6,300nm range at 10 knots. Capabilities include a touch-and-go helideck, forward observation lounge, elevators, large open sundeck and two 8m tenders carried forward.

SCOUT was the largest yacht built by Royal Hakvoort at the time of her delivery. The project brought together Hakvoort, Diana Yacht Design and H2 Yacht Design to create a highly individual yacht, with a powerful exterior and a spacious interior incorporating a botanical garden, gym, spa and extensive inside-outside living areas.

She accommodates 16 guests in seven staterooms, including a private owner's deck configured as a residential apartment, and carries 16 crew.

SCOUT was built before the sharp increase in the cost of large custom yachts . Recreating her combination of size, Ice Class capability, volume, bespoke engineering and individual design today would represent an almost prohibitive undertaking.
