NEW CENTRAL LISTING – AWATEAA rare opportunity in a booming market with inventory in short supply

The 45-metre (147’ 6”) AWATEA is an oceangoing motor yacht with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. AWATEA was custom built by Royal Hakvoort in 2008.  Diana Yacht Design was responsible for the naval architecture and her exterior was designed by Cor de Rover. The interior layout and original interior design were by Felix Buytendijk.

In 2019 AWATEA underwent a major refit, including hull paintwork, custom tenders, engine room overhaul and an AV and IT refit. The interior was redecorated by the talented owner/designer Peter Tatham who lightened the palette and refreshed all the soft fabrics providing an elegant “New England” twist to the original nautical style.

Although AWATEA has only been used privately, she can be operated on a full professional basis. Built to Lloyds and MCA, she was the first Dutch motor yacht to be constructed for charter under the new guidelines for Commercial Cruising Vessels (CCV). AWATEA was nominated for the 2009 World Superyachts Award.

AWATEA has a dynamic silhouette characterized by a sweeping line that extends from the stern to the top of her superstructure. Her sundeck with whirlpool and bar and indeed
all exterior deck areas are spacious and functional. The exterior finish is classic nautical with teak caprails and veneered recesses around windows. She has a level of warmth and personality that is rare on yachts of her size.

AWATEA feels more like a 50m+ yacht than a 45m. Her spacious interior which feels much larger than her 499 gross tons includes elements of sailing yacht décor. Warm mahogany panels, beautifully beveled raised panel joinery and white surfaces are combined to great effect.

AWATEA accommodates 10 guests in five staterooms and up to 12 using pullman berths, as well as 9 crew. The full beam owners’ suite, accessed via a study, is located forward on the main deck. It feels very airy thanks to large windows and exceptional headroom of 2.30m or 7’6”.

The lower deck has four guest cabins, larger than those commonly found on a 45-metre boat including two double or twin cabins and two VIPs, each with an en-suite bathroom and an extra Pullman bunk. All cabins feature Creston controls to manage the Kaleidescape AV system, lighting, curtains and air-conditioning.

AWATEA is powered by two Caterpillar diesel 3508B engines and has a range of 4,600 nm at 11.3 knots. With proven seaworthiness including trips to Norway, her full displacement hull is capable of comfortable worldwide cruising, also thanks to her VT Naiad zero speed stabilizers.

Beautifully maintained and ready for immediate use, a rare opportunity in the current market, AWATEA is asking Euro 19.5m and can be viewed by appointment in the Rybovich Free Trade Zone in West Palm Beach, Florida. Contact Stuart at +1 954 328 6553 or stuart.larsen@fraseryachts.com.
