PRICE REDUCTION ON GEORGIA Now asking USD 7,950,000
Now asking $ 7,950,000 the 49m I 159' Georgia was the world’s largest sloop at the time of her launch in 2000. With her 59m carbon mast and striking burgundy-red hull, she established herself as the trailblazer for a new generation of sailing yachts.
Built by Alloy in New Zealand with naval architecture by Sudio Scanu and Butch Design, and exterior styling and interior design by Glade Johnson Design, Georgia was conceived as the ultimate family world cruiser.
Design priorities included a requirement for four generous guest cabins, a gym PLUS a full width master suite and a large hot tub. In a yacht of this size, ease of sailing with a minimal crew was an absolute necessity, as well as safety for all on board. GEORGIA exceeded everyone's most enthusiastic expectations. Proven beyond doubt, since 2009 she has covered almost 115,000nm, circumnavigated the globe and won the 2018 St Barth’s Bucket.
The very strict rules for Lloyd's and the then-to-be-adopted MCA rules and regulations were embraced to achieve the highest structural and safety standards and GEORGIA has been maintained to the same standard ever since.
Georgia has a low profile with unusually large windows which allow guests to look down onto the water. The sailing equipment is hidden below deck, a very unusual feature on a sailing yacht. There is ample sailing gear storage in below deck 50-gallon storage drums. Her centreboard draft allows access to shoal cruising areas.
Georgia has a beautiful cherry wood interior and is the only yacht of her size on the market with a full-beam Master Suite and a sixth stateroom or gym. She sleeps 10 or 12 in five staterooms with en suite bathrooms and accommodates 8 crew.
