NEW CENTRAL AGENCY: TATOOSHKlaus Kusch exterior design and interiors by Terry Disdale
Stuart is delighted to announce his appointment as Central Agent for the sale of Tatoosh, the groundbreaking 92m (303’) yacht, built in Germany by Nobiskrug. Including Tatoosh, Stuart currently represents 710m (2,329’) of yachts, collectively worth over US$1billion.
The most exciting yachts tend to be built by owners with a clear idea of what they want to do. Such projects also pave the way for new lifestyle features. In 2000, Nobiskrug made its mark on the International superyacht scene with the launch of TATOOSH which, at the time, was one of the world’s largest superyachts. Highly innovative, Tatoosh was commissioned by a forward-thinking owner who signed up yachting legend Klaus Kusch for the exterior design, naval architecture and project management. The interior design was entrusted to another legend, Terry Disdale, known for his refreshingly casual yet exquisitely chic interiors. Both designers were at the height of their careers and willing to push boundaries in the burgeoning world of superyachts.
Tatoosh was built to a scale which has become accepted today but was highly innovative at the time. Built with top-quality materials, state-of-the-art technology and exceptional craftsmanship, she spans six decks and (one of her most distinguishing features) carries an extraordinary range of tenders and toys. She can carry two helicopters; a 43’ Frers designed sailboat and a 43’ Hinckley picnic boat are stowed port and starboard, and three other guest tenders and an array of smaller watercraft round out her toy list. Her beach club marina with doors opening port and starboard is equipped with dive facilities, and a sauna and a hot tub with views aft over the ocean.
MCA compliant, Tatoosh has been a successful charter yacht although she has rarely been chartered. At 3,229 GT, she accommodates up to 19 guests in 11 staterooms plus. Unusually, the owner’s area extends over two decks with the owners private “apartment like” living area forward on the boat deck and sleeping accommodations below on the main deck, ideally arranged for a family. On-board facilities include a cinema, a family room for games or home schooling, a gym and spa facilities and a large swimming pool on the main deck aft.
Tatoosh is asking Eur 90 million and will emerge from an extensive refit in Northern Germany in early 2021. Please note Tatoosh is not offered for sale to US residents while in US waters.
