2024 SHAPING UP FINE: STUART SELLS THE INNOVATIVE AMELS 80Amels’ newest and largest Limited Edition superyacht with hybrid propulsion and star-power designers

Stuart is pleased to announce the sale of hull #04 of the Amels 80 Limited Edition series in partnership with his Monaco colleague, Jan Jaap Minnema. The 80m Amels is based on Amels’ innovative semi-custom platform and interior, with customized furniture and decor.

Amels is renowned for its commitment to innovation and top-quality shipbuilding. True to the shipyard’s DNA, the 80m (262’) yacht combines striking exterior lines, an elegant, functional layout and hybrid technology. Similar systems have already been successfully used in the Amels 60m. And like the Amels 60m, the 80m exterior was designed by the creative Espen Øino. The Amels 80 also marks the first collaboration between Amels and another Dutch heavyweight, Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design for interior design.

The Amels 80m makes the most of her 2,175 GT and 12.5m (41’1”) beam: she accommodates up to 14 guests in 7 staterooms if used privately or 12 guests if used commercially. She carries 21 crew. Her interior is outstanding: it has a 517m2 private owner’s deck featuring an airy lounge with floor to ceiling windows  and direct access to the al-fresco dining aft. The forward-facing master suite has 360-degree views, “his and her” bathrooms and dressing areas as well as a private office.

The outside decks are also a masterpiece of versatility: there is a 200m2 sundeck – the largest in class – complete with a bar, lounge area, alfresco dining and a large whirlpool. The beach club, built under the glass-bottomed swimming pool on the main deck, opens on three sides, with two folding sea terraces and the transom door. The wellness spa with gym, hammam and sauna is forward. An elevator connects all decks.

There is also a multi-purpose area on the bow which doubles as a touch-and-go helipad that can support a helicopter up to 4,000 kg, such as an Airbus ACH 135. The garage for the tenders up to 36′ (11m) and other toys is under the foredeck.

The cutting-edge propulsion system allows the Amels 80 to use batteries only while at anchor (with zero emissions) and step-up power as needed to cruise at top speed. The yacht can reach 16.5 knots and at 12 knots, which is her cruising speed, she has a 5,000nm range under conventional propulsion.
One of the most versatile yachts in this size range available today, Amels 8004 will be delivered in 2027.
