NEW CENTRAL AGENCY: MY ICONThe 68m Icon will take part in the 2022 MYS at anchor

Stuart is pleased to announce his Central Agency for the sale of 67.5m/221.5' MY ICON.
ICON marked an important evolution in the story of yacht building. When the homonymous shipyard was set up in 2005, the core strategy was to reduce the time it took to build large custom yachts. The length of construction is universally recognized as a sore point for yacht owners. By basing construction around a “pre-engineered superyacht platform”, similar to what is used in commercial building, the shipyard was able to reduce the build time by almost 1/3, and still deliver a fully customized, Dutch- quality yacht.

ICON, delivered in 2010 after a 2-year build period, was the first yacht from the yard. A full displacement yacht with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, she originally had an LOA of 62m. Icon chose Jouke Van Der Baan and Kyp to support their in-house team of naval architects while her exterior styling was entrusted to Redman Whitely Dixon (now RWD) who drew her streamlined, crisp exterior. The contemporary interior design was by Studio Linse, known for the “noble simplicity” style of their projects.

ICON’s transom was extended during a 2015 refit, which was carried out at the Icon shipyard in Harlingen, Holland. Five meters were added incorporating a stunning spa and beach club on the lower deck and a 5m glass infinity pool on the main deck. Now, measuring almost 68m, she is 1295 Gross Tons and has an 11.4 m beam.

ICON is powered by twin MTU 12V4000 engines of 2,480hp each, giving her a maximum speed of 16 knots and has a maximum range of 6000.0 nm at her cruising speed of 13 knots. The 2015 refit included further improvements like new Scania generator sets accommodated in a larger space and fitted with their own sound shields. Her bow thruster was upgraded to match the extended hull with three tons of side thrust. She is equipped with Quantum Zero Speed stabilizers engineered for peak performance at 15 knots underway and optimum roll damping while at anchor. Designed for extensive world cruising and flagged in the Cayman Islands and complying with LY2, ICON has been a very successful charter yacht.

ICON can accommodate up to 14 guests in 7 staterooms including a master suite, three VIP suites, two twin staterooms and a smaller double cabin ideal for children or staff. While all suites, apart from the VIP stateroom, are on the lower deck, the master suite is spread across two levels as a duplex apartment. The sleeping areas, bathroom and separate dressing closet are on the main deck and a private staircase provides direct access up to the forward observation lounge and owners office on the upper deck. The area can be shut off for complete privacy.  ICON accommodates 19 crew members.

ICON is asking EUR 45 million with EU VAT paid.  She will take part in the 2022 Monaco Yacht Show at anchor where she can be viewed by prior appointment. For all information, contact Stuart at +1 954 328 6553 or stuart.larsen@fraseryachts.com .
