FORMOSA SOLD Custom-built Benetti with Sinot interior

Stuart is pleased to announce the sale of the 60 m l 197’ motor yacht Formosa, his ninth sale in 2021. Stuart acted for the buyer.

Formosa was delivered in 2015; one of the select number of custom yachts built by Benetti. With an elegant “East meets West” character, Formosa’s exterior lines were designed by Benetti while the elegant, chromatically harmonious and sunlit interior with its Asian twist and with huge windows in all salons, is by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Sinot is known for presenting a yacht as a ‘total work of art’ and on FORMOSA rare woods and veneers are integrated with the finest fabrics and leathers, combined with beautiful marbles, stones and furniture.

Formosa has a slightly different layout including an owner’s ‘apartment’ on the upper deck with 180° views forward and a secluded outside area, two VIPs on the main deck and three large staterooms on the lower deck. Formosa can accommodate up to 13 guests and 15 crew.
The upper deck aft salon doubles as a cinema: a floor-to-ceiling screen covers the entire forward bulkhead complemented by a state-of-the-art sound system.  The bridge deck has a spacious aft area with a large whirlpool and access to the forward-looking sundeck above. There is also a gym and a swim platform for easy access to the water. FORMOSA carries a lot of water toys, an 8m Limo Tender and a 5.7m tender.

Built to ABS class in steel and aluminum, FORMOSA adds up to 1,089GT and is powered by twin MTU 12V4000 M53 engines. She reaches a top speed of 16 knots, cruises comfortably at 15 knots, and at 12 knots has a range of 5,000 nautical miles. FORMOSA is equipped with zero speed Naiad stabilizers for comfort at anchor. She has been one of the most successful charter yachts in her class with a proven track record of global cruising, including round the world voyages to French Polynesia, Australia and Japan.

Formosa was asking Eur 35,000,000.
