Price reduction on 126m OCTOPUSNow asking Euro 235,000,000

OCTOPUS' asking price has been reduced from €295,000,000 to €235,000,000. In superb condition after completing an 8-month refit at Blohm+Voss in 2019, Octopus remains the benchmark for adventure and exploration yachting. One of the most travelled yachts in the world with proven capability, even in the harshest climates, the 126m I 414ft Octopus was delivered by Lurssen in 2003. With naval architecture and exterior styling by Espen Øino, Octopus is built to Ice-class 1A and has two helipads: one forward and one aft with access to a large helicopter garage for two helicopters.

Her hull design includes an integrated dock with lock doors at the stern. It houses a 60-foot submarine capable of carrying ten people and a Hinckley tender. When the vessels are on board, the water is pumped out providing a drydock facility. In addition, Octopus carries seven other tenders including the 13.5m I 44ft custom Hinckley Talaria dive tender, an ROV and an array of water toys.

The interior was designed by Jonathan Quinn Barnett. Octopus has a dedicated Owner’s deck with a private elevator and an observation lounge. Overall, she can house 26 guests in 13 staterooms. Amenities include a large cinema and a recording studio with a purpose-designed floor to damp out low-frequency noise and vibration, a beach club, dive-center with hyperbaric chamber, a pool, gym, and a spa with hammam and sauna.

Octopus is powered by diesel-electric propulsion and can reach a maximum speed of 18 knots. At 14 knots she has a trans-Pacific range of 12,500 nm.
