Italy and France have long been the top yachting destinations in the Med and for very good reasons. The weather is good, the scenery stunning, the food is excellent and the arts scene and night life are second to none. Spain, which has recently opened up to international charters offers more of the same with an exciting Spanish twist. Still relatively unspoiled the Balearics are a wonderful option to the Greek islands in the Eastern Med.
The Med cruising season starts in May and ends in late September or as late as early October. Temperatures range between 72F/22C and 95F/35C with cooler nights.
Facilities are excellent with high-end shopping, restaurants, hotels and clubs immediately available often with dedicated tender drop offs. Most locations host a variety of concerts, festivals and firework displays during the summer.
Access is easy and key destinations are safe and off known immigration routes.
